Our Achievements

Esi Afran Foundation continues to work with exceptional young women, to provide financial assistance and mentorship for their education.

 

We have broadened our approach and now work increasingly on improving the standard of education in Ghana, by providing financial support and advice to other organizations that focus on education.

​

A partnership has been established with the Kokrobite Chiltern Centre (KCC), an NGO that provides support to children and families in the coastal village of Kokrobite.  Working with KCC and The Educators’ Network, Esi Afran Foundation are implementing a teacher training programme to enhance the capacity of teachers in local schools to teach literacy and related subjects.  We are also supporting a programme to host students and other visitors from outside Ghana, to give them a chance to participate in the literacy programme and other community projects led by KCC.

 

Esi Afran Foundation also has a long-standing partnership with Omega Schools Franchise Ltd (OSFL), a chain of low cost private schools that provide private education to children from low-income families using a model that allows them to pay fees daily to match their pattern of earnings.  We provide advice and funding.
